Replacement of front door window-lift
motor
1.
Remove the three bolts
securing the motor to the window lift.
Note
If one of the retaining bolts is concealed by the toothed segment of
the scissor-lift mechanism and the electric motor is unserviceable, the
toothed segment can be moved by means of the motor's armature.
Do
not dismantle the motor until you are sure it is unserviceable.
Then first remove the stator, secured by four bolts, to expose the armature.
Rotate the armature while pressing on the toothed segment to help it move until the retaining
bolt is accessible.
2.
Remove the motor and fit a new one.
Fit in reverse order.
Note
This work will be facilitated if a heavy-duty pop rivet tool is used. Adjust the position of
the window as follows:
•
Raise the window to about 3 cm
from the closed position.
•
Press the window rearwards in the frame.
•
Check that the top edge of the window glass is parallel with the
frame.
