Replacement of sill scuff plates
|
Cars in stock must be rectified before delivery
Cars already delivered should be rectified next time they are brought in for regular
servicing or repairs.
All Saab 900 M94-96.
Blisters in the paintwork on the doors may arise due to galvanic corrosion
between the car body and the doors. A new sill scuff plate which is not electrically conducting
has therefore been introduced to prevent electrode migration across the sill scuff
plates.
46 13 220 Sill scuff plates 3D (1 right-hand / 1 left-hand).
46 13 238 Sill scuff plates 5D (1 right-hand / 1 left-hand).

First check whether there are 3 longitudinal
grooves on the underside of the sill scuff plate's rubber edging.
If there are no grooves the scuff plate must be changed.

Remove the sill scuff plates.
|
|
3.
|
Fit the new sill scuff plates with grooves.
