Important
|
This method must be used if the legroom adjustment motor is unserviceable or you want to get at the TCS electronic units.
|
In other cases you should use the method described on page 852-1.

1.
|
5-door:
Detach the belt from the anchorage on the seat by pressing in the catch using a curved screwdriver
(see dimensional drawing).
|
2.
|
Slide the seat forwards and remove the floor bracket's rear retaining bolts.
|
3.
|
Slide the seat rearwards and remove the floor bracket's front retaining bolts.
|
4.
|
Unplug the seat connector.
|
5.
|
Lift out the seat, making sure that the brackets do not damage any of the interior fittings or trim.

Important
|
When fitting the seat it is important to tighten the retaining bolts in the right order. If this is not done, the seat will not work properly.

|
1.
|
Lift the seat into position, guiding it onto the floor brackets.
|
2.
|
Plug in the seat connector.
|
3.
|
Fit all the retaining bolts.
|
4.
|
Tighten the inner front bolt.
Tightening torque: 24 Nm (18 lbf ft)
|
5.
|
Slide the seat forwards and tighten the inner rear bolt first and then the outer bolt.
Tightening torque: 24 Nm (18 lbf ft)

6.
|
Slide the seat rearwards and tighten the outer front bolt.
Tightening torque: 24 Nm (18 lbf ft)
|
7.
|
Check that the seat locks properly into place.
|
8.
|
5-door:
Press the seat belt firmly down into the anchorage. Make sure that the catch engages properly.
