To remove |
1. |
Remove backrest cushion. Note that the brackets by the wheel housings are to be unscrewed from the backrest cushion when it is removed from the car.

Put the cushion on a protected workbench. Remove the locking clamp (applies to 40%% backrest only).

3. |
Remove the upholstery strips.
|
4. |
Lift up the foam cushion from the rear section making the head restraint guide accessible. Lift the lower locking wire on one side and press up the head restraint slightly, repeat this on the other side. Repeat the process with the upper locking wire and remove the head restraint.

5. |
Remove the bolts securing the child seat cushion and remove the cushion from the brackets.

6. |
Remove the opening strap from the lever.
|
7. |
Remove the horseshoe-shaped plastic spacer on the opening side.
|
8. |
Remove the split plastic spacer on the same side.
|
9. |
Press out the lever through the groove on the bushing on the opposite side and then angle out the lever from the opening side bracket.
|
10. |
Cut off the clips by the belt buckle pocket and remove the T-strips from the foam cushion.

To fit |

Fit the T-strips to the foam cushion.
|
2. |
Fit the clips (84 71 062) on the belt buckle pocket and put the foam cushion in place.
|
3. |
Angle in the lever into the opening side bracket and fit the plastic bushing with the groove in the bracket on the other side. Press down the lever into the plastic bushing.

4. |
First fit the split plastic spacer and then the horseshoe shaped plastic spacer.
|
5. |
Fit the opening strap on the lever.
|
6. |
Fit the child seat cushion by guiding the cushion back into its bushings while at the same time releasing the catches. Fit the bolts securing the cushion. Make sure the bolt on the opening side goes through the opening strap.
Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.4 lbf ft) |
7. |
Put back the child seat head restraint and fit the upholstery strips.

8. |
Loosely fit the locking clamp.
|
9. |
Fit the backrest cushion.
|
10. |
Tip back the backrest cushion and tighten the locking clamp.
|
11. |
Check the function of the child seat.
