Removal of pump and filter


1. Remove the lower section and the lower half on the left-hand side of the spoiler.


2. Remove the three retaining bolts, unplug the connector and disconnect the hoses.

3. Lift the pump away.

4. Remove the filter retaining bolt and remove the filter with hose.


Refitting the filter and pump


Fit in reverse order.

Removal of vacuum valve



1. Undo the hose clips and remove the hoses.

2. Disconnect the vacuum hose and remove the valve.


To check

Use a vacuum pump and blow air into the valve to check its operation.

Refitting the vacuum valve

Fit in reverse order.

Removal of control valve



1. Lift up the engine bay sealing strip on the top of the bulkhead partition.

2. Undo the retaining clip and lift up the valve.

3. Unplug the connector and disconnect the valve's two hoses.

4. Remove the valve.


Refitting the control valve

Fit in reverse order.

Removal of non-return valve



1. Disconnect the hoses.

2. Remove the valve.


To check

Check that the valve does not allow exhaust gases to escape in the reverse direction.

Refitting the non-return valve

Fit in reverse order.

Tightening torque 25 Nm (18.5 lbf ft)

Note

The valve has tapered pipe threads.
