1.

Remove the fuel rail with
injectors as described in points 1-6 on the previous page.

Start the fuel pump by connecting a jumper lead between fuses 4 and 32, using
special tool 83 93 886. Check that the injectors do not leak.
|
3.
|
Connect test hose 83 94 405 to the injector that is to be tested. The hose should
discharge into a measuring flask. Connect the injector to battery voltage by means of cables
86 11 410 and 86 11 345. Activate the injector for exactly 30 seconds. Then check whether
the quantity of fuel in the measuring flask is 176±14 millilitres. The maximum
permissible difference between the injectors is 18 millilitres.

Change any defective injectors.

|
Refit the fuel-injection rail and injectors. Be careful to fit the right connectors to
the right injectors.
