To remove |

Raise the car and remove the
RH rear wheel.

Clean the area round the filler pipe so that dirt, etc. will not get into it or into the
tank.

3. |
Remove the plastic screw securing the filler pipe to the car body.
|
4. |
Undo the hose clips and remove the plastic hose connecting the filler pipe to the
fixed pipe on the tank.

5. |
Unplug the pressure sensor's connector.
|
6. |
Lower the car to the floor.
|
7. |
Grasp the pipe under the rear wing with one hand and prise the filler pipe off the
collar by the filler flap. Use a screwdriver.

8. |
Withdraw the filler pipe.
|
9. |
Remove the pressure sensor.

To fit |
Fit in reverse order.
Tightening torque: plastic screw: 1.8 Nm (1.3 lbf ft) hose clip: 2.2 Nm (1.6 lbf ft)
Important | ||
When changing the plastic screw it is important to ensure that the new screw is also made of plastic. In the event of a collision the plastic screw should "give" to avoid damage to the filler pipe, which is also made of plastic. |
