Checking basic boost press. (on road)

The engine should be warm throughout.

1.

Position pressure gauge 83 93 514 vertically to reduce the risk of reading errors.
|
|

Connect the pressure gauge to the intake manifold.
|
|
3.
|
Carry out wide open throttle acceleration in third gear at an engine speed below 1500 rpm. When engine speed approaches 3000 rpm, depress the brake pedal while keeping the accelerator fully depressed so that full load is obtained at 3000 rpm. Read the basic boost pressure on the pressure gauge. If the boost pressure is outside the tolerance limits, see “Adjustment of basic boost pressure”.

Remove the pressure gauge and carry out adaptation of the boost pressure.
