Symptom: Horn sounds continuously.
Fault symptom
Horn sounds continuously.
Diagnostic procedure
1 Check the horn

Connect the test lamp to the horn's 1-pin connector with the black lead and Batt+.
|
Does the lamp light up?
Continue with point 2.
Change the horn.
2 Check the horn's ground connection
|

Check the continuity between the horn's 1-pin connector with the black lead and the theft alarm control module, pin 11.
|
|

|
Also take a resistance reading across the connector and ground.
|
The resistance should be < 1 ohm.
Is the resistance correct?
Continue with point 3.
Repair or replace the wiring harness.
3 Final check
Check to see if the fault symptom remains.
Is the problem still present?
See "Before replacing a control module".
The remedial measures taken were correct or the fault is of intermittent nature.
