The transmission control module communicates with the diagnostics instrument via pin 23.
Communication is two-way and consists of both input and output signals.
The data link connector is located under the dashboard on the driver's side.
With the ignition switch in the ON position and the diagnostics instrument connected, the current applied to pin 23 will be 9-11 V.
