Wash the gearbox beside the gear selector shaft, engage 4th gear and fit locking pin 87 92 335.

Remove the engine covers (V6). Undo the M8 bolt on the gear selector shaft and move the gear lever to the 3rd gear position.

Prise out the seal using a narrow screwdriver.

Fitting |

Clean the selector rod and check that it has no burrs.

2. |
Wind a layer of thin, smooth plastic tape around the hole in the selector rod.

4. |
Join the selector rods using the M8 screw.

Check the oil level in the gearbox and top up if needed. Use assembly tool 87 92 590.
