Remove the selector lever
housing, see

Release the wiring by cutting the cable tie.
|
|
| 3. |
Remove the electro-magnet. (Only in cars with shift-lock function.)
|
|
| 4. |
Remove the lever by removing the nut and pulling out the ball
socket.

Release the plastic housing which is secured with snap-on hinges in
the metal housing.
|
|
| 6. |
Pull out the selector lever's shaft from its securing point.
|
|
| Fitting |
| 1. |
Move the bulbs and the
WINTER switch to the new selector lever.
|
|
| 2. |
Grease the selector lever's shaft, the bushings in the securing
point and the linkage with Berusil FO22F, part no 42 38 671 or similar.

| 3. |
Press the selector lever's shaft into the securing point.
|
|
| 4. |
Refit the lever. Do not forget the washer!
Tightening torque: 30 Nm (22 lbf ft) |

| 5. |
Refit the plastic housing, make sure that it snaps on properly.
|
|
| 6. |
Refit the electro-magnet and adjust the shift-lock function, see
.

| 7. |
Secure the wiring to the housing with cable ties.
|
|
| 8. |
Adjust the play in the parking-lock, see

|
| 9. |
Refit the selector lever housing to the car body, see
.
