| Removal | 
| 1. | 
       Drain the brake fluid reservoir of
brake fluid. Use the brake bleeder unit (part no. 88 19 096).
        |

| 2. | 
       Place a piece of paper or rag underneath the master cylinder.
        | 
     |
| 3. | 
       Disconnect and plug the brake pipe connections.
        | 
     |
| 4. | 
       Remove the two master cylinder retaining nuts and lift out the master cylinder.
        | 
     |
| 5. | 
       Transfer the brake fluid reservoir to the new master
cylinder.
        | 
     |
| Fitting | 
   
   | 1. | 
       Fit the master cylinder to the
brake servo unit and tighten the retaining nuts.
        | 
     |
| 2. | 
       Fit the brake pipe connections. Take away the paper or rag from under the
master cylinder.
        | 
     |
| 3. | 
       Top up the brake fluid in the brake fluid reservoir.
        | 
     |
| 4. | 
       Bleed the brake system.
        | 
     |
| 5. | 
       Check operation by depressing the brake pedal. Also check the brake pipe
connections for tightness and leaks.
