        Mount the car on an aligning bench and realign to the correct measurements if necessary.

        Drill out the spot welds that secure the cut section of the reinforcement in front of the wheel housing. Grind away the seam welds in the wheel housing.

        Cut the side panel at the B pillar as shown. Use the spare part as a template if the inner part of the B pillar is not to be replaced at the same time.

        Drill out the spot welds securing the inner side panel.

        Knock loose the inner side panel and realign any deformed metalwork.

        Use a grinder to clean the areas on the spare part and body that are to be welded.

        Fit the outer panel and tailgate in place and check the fit in relation to the door.

        Apply primer to all surfaces that have been ground clean. Use Standox 1K Füllprimer.

        Seal joints and metal folds with putty. Use Terostat 1K-PUR.
