        Mount the car in an alignment bench with measuring fixture and cross-measure as necessary.

        Drill out the spot welds.

        Knock away the side panel and align any deformed metalwork. Keep the lower edge in front of the wheel housing and use it as a template when drilling holes in the new side panel for plug welding.

        Drill holes in the new side panel for plug welding.
         |

| 5. | 
        Grind clean the surfaces to be welded on the new side panel.
         | 
      |
| 6. | 
        Use a grinder to clean the areas on the body that are to be welded.
         |

| 7. | 
        Apply welding primer to the surfaces which are to be spot welded. Use Teroson Zinkspray.
         | 
      |
| 8. | 
        Put the side panel in place and secure it with a couple of welding clamps.
         | 
      |
| 9. | 
        Fit the tailgate in place and adjust the side panel.
         | 
      |
| 10. | 
        Remove the tailgate. Spot and plug weld the side panel in place.

| 11. | 
        Grind the welds clean.
         | 
      |
| 12. | 
        Wash off surplus welding primer. Welding primer makes for poorer adhesion of paint, filler and sealant.
         | 
      |
| 13. | 
        Apply primer to all surfaces that have been ground clean. Use Standox 1K Füllprimer.
         | 
      |
| 14. | 
        Seal joints and metal folds with putty. Use Terostat 1K-PUR.
         | 
      |
| 15. | 
        Apply anti-corrosion agent to internal surfaces after painting. Use Terotex HV 400.
