Saab 900 starting with MY 1996, equipped with V6 engine on the ME market.

Background

The cars have been fitted with an upgraded A/C system for better coolant performance and are equipped with a new compressor (Sanden TRS 105). They are also equipped with a new condenser and new routing of the low pressure pipe. The low pressure pipe is routed under the engine and is attached to the subframe.

The spare parts numbers are only presented in this SI, since they will not be included in updated spare parts microfiches.

Service tips

1.	In connection with work where the subframe is removed, the clip for the low pressure pipe must be removed first of all.

2.	The service valve for the low pressure side is located on the low pressure pipe next to the compressor. Warning Hands can receive burn injuries as the coolant hose and exhaust manifold are hot.

3.	When emptying and filling slide the service hose between the radiator hose and fan cover, so that it will not touch the exhaust manifold.
