The soft top on the Saab 900 Convertible with its advanced mechanics and triple roof cloth is designed and tested to supply excellent protection against cold and rain as well as road and wind noise. If the customer is to experience this well-insulated driver environment, it is important that the soft top, seals and windows are correctly adjusted.

It is important to consider the entire car as one unit when adjusting its components. A gap between the door window and the soft top may be caused by an incorrectly adjusted window or seal but it can also be the soft top or door that needs adjusting. If each component is adjusted individually, without regarding the car as a whole, there is a clear risk that the problem will spread to other parts of the car. This will result in time-consuming fault tracing and adjustment.
