Detach the gas spring from the ball joint on the boot lid.

Remove the clip on the gas spring mounting to the side plate.

Detach the gas spring from the ball joint.

| To fit |
| 1. |
Press the gas spring onto the ball joint on the side plate.
|
|
| 2. |
Press on the clip.
|
|
| 3. |
Press the gas spring onto the ball joint on the boot lid.
