Is the drive shaft on the soft top cover motor twisted?
If this is thought to be the problem, it may be necessary to remove the U-coupling on the end of the shaft to see if it is twisted. If the shaft is twisted, the soft top cover motor must be replaced and the cause of the deformation investigated. A twisted shaft is generally caused by incorrectly adjusted soft top cover latches. Make sure the latches are adjusted precisely.
Make sure to check the adjustment of the soft top cover latches with the soft top completely raised, as the fifth bow then presses down on the soft top cover.
