Checking updates and modifications

First, make sure all updates and modifications have been carried out as below.
VIN

The microswitch on the fifth bow latch motor should be disconnected.
|
2.
|
Make sure the correct control module is fitted. It should
not
be possible to operate the windows when the soft top is
being raised
.
(Control module software version 0402 or higher.)
|
3.
|
The fifth bow potentiometer must be fitted with a ’’drive mounting”, and the potentiometer arm must be approx. 10 cm long.
|
4.
|
The fifth bow motor on the passenger side must have a protective plate fitted over the ratchet so that it does not damage the cables.
|
1.
|
Second bow drive link fitted.
All Saab 900 Convertible M1995 plus M1996 with following VIN:
T7000012 - T7000030, T7000032, T7000414, T7000416 and T7000419.

2.
|
Two holes drilled at the bottom of the front door pockets. (On model year 1997, the holes have different locations from the factory.)
|
3.
|
The rib is blind riveted at the back of the headlining.
All Saab 900 Convertible M1995 plus M1996 with following VIN:
T7000012 - T7000030, T7000032, T7000414, T7000416 and T7000419.

Round hole with plug in the cover over the fifth bow latch motor.
|
What type of soft top is fitted on the car?

1.
|
On the original M95 900 ’’ASC” soft top, the rear window is glued to the cloth.
|
2.
|
On the later type of soft top, ’’CTS”, the rear window is clip-mounted to the cloth.
