The car must be stationary.

The ignition must be in position "ON".

The boot lid must be closed.

The soft top storage must be in its lowest position.

The soft top is lowered by first opening the latch handle in the first bow. Then, the "ROOF" switch is pressed backwards until the soft top is completely lowered (open) and an acoustic signal is heard from the SID. The soft top is lowered (opened) in the following sequence:

The fifth bow latch opens.

2. |
The fifth bow starts to rise.
|
3. |
The soft top cover latches open.
|
4. |
The fifth bow is completely raised.
|
5. |
The soft top cover is completely raised.
|
6. |
The fifth bow is lowered slightly.
|
7. |
The soft top is lifted from the windscreen member.
|
8. |
The soft top is folded.
|
9. |
The soft top is lowered.
|
10. |
The soft top cover closes.
|
11. |
The soft top cover is locked.
|
12. |
SID sounds an acoustic signal .
|
If a fault should occur while the soft top is being operated, the soft top system control module will interrupt the motion and send a message to SID, which will sound an acoustic signal and display an error message.
