The holes for the bonnet hinge mountings are elongated to permit adjustment of the bonnet position. |
1. |
Open the bonnet and slacken
the four bolts securing the hinges to the bonnet.

Adjust the bonnet and tighten the retaining bolts.

After adjustment:

Open and close the bonnet a few
times to check the operation of the locking and release mechanism. Drop the bonnet from a
height of about 30 cm (12 inches).

Pull the front of the closed bonnet upwards to check that the bonnet
lock has engaged properly.

Adjust the height of the bonnet by
means of the striker pin, nominal
height 62 mm. Adjust the stops accordingly.
