Adjustment of tailgate buffer
guides

Note
Adjustment of buffer guides on the body and buffers on the tailgate is to ensure that the
tailgate will rest on them also and not just on the lock. First adjust the buffer guides on the
body:

Loosen the interior trim on both sides of the tailgate opening by undoing the two
clips securing the edge of the trim.
|

3.
|
Fold out the trim to expose the two buffer guide retaining nuts.
|
|
4.
|
Loosen the nuts and adjust the buffer guides.
|
After adjustment:
|
1.
|
Tighten the buffer
guides.
|
|
2.
|
Fold the trim back in place and secure it with the clips.
|
Adjustment of buffers on the
tailgate
|
1.
|
Adjust the height of the buffers
by screwing them in or out by hand.
The buffers screw into threaded holes in the body.
