Adjustment of tailgate hinge

Note

To gain access to the tailgate hinges for adjustment, the headlining
must be loosened to expose the hinge mountings.
|

Remove the weatherstrip at the roof.
|
3.
|
Loosen the rear edge of the headlining by undoing the two retaining
clips (turn through 90° and withdraw them).
|
4.
|
Fold down the trim to expose the bolts in the tailgate hinge
mountings.
|
5.
|
Undo the bolts and adjust the tailgate.
After adjustment:
|
6.
|
Tighten the screws.
|
7.
|
Touch up the paint round the hinges if necessary.
|
8.
|
Fold the trim back in place and fit the retaining clips for the
headlining.
|
9.
|
Fit the weatherstrip. Use a rubber mallet if necessary.
|
10.
|
Fold the weatherstrip outside the headlining.
