Lock cylinder


Door, driver's side

Note

To remove the lock cylinder, the key must first be inserted in the lock to release it.



1. Remove the spring from the casting.

2. Remove the locking washer securing the casting to the lock cylinder

Note

When the spring is removed, the nylon cylinder for tensioning the spring is also released.


3. Pull the casting away from the lock cylinder.

Note

Exercise care. The retaining ball is now loose and can easily fall out.


4. Pull the driver off the lock cylinder.

5. Use the key to rotate the lock cylinder 45° anticlockwise so that it clears the handle and then press it out of the handle.


Door, passengeer side



1. Remove the locking washer securing the driver to the cylinder.

2. Pull the driver and spring off the lock cylinder.

3. Use the key to rotate the lock cylinder 45° anticlockwise so that it clears the handle and then press it out of the handle.


To fit

Fit in reverse order.

Note

Lock on driver's side: Grease the retaining ball on fitting it.

The lock cylinder should be fitted with the drain hole at the bottom, facing downwards.
