Replacement of coolant

Open the drain plug and drain out the coolant. Remove the lid of the expansion tank to speed up the draining.

Tighten the drain plug by hand.

Mix Saab Original Coolant and water 50:50 in a receptacle.

Important
It is important that the cooling properties are sufficient for hotter climates as well.

Pour the coolant into the expansion tank.

Screw on the pressure cap and warm up the engine. Check the system for leaks and top up as necessary.

6-cylinder engine

It is not possible to drain the coolant completely from a 6-cylinder engine. A large amount of coolant remains in the engine.
