Short circuit to the battery

Temperature gauge always shows cold engine.
| Measures |

Check that there are no diagnostic trouble codes stored in the main instrument. If there are diagnostic trouble codes, continue the fault-tracing in Service Manual 3.5, section for main instrument.

Connect a BOB and check the wiring for any short circuit to positive voltage between:
- ICE connection 61 and connection 4 in main instrument 1. - ICE connection 14 and connection 7 in main instrument 2. |

| 3. |
Clear the diagnostic trouble code, start the car and check if the diagnostic trouble code reappears.

Continue in Service Manual 3.5 under section ICE.
