To remove


1. Remove the resonator (air silencer).

2. Remove the dipstick tube.

3. Raise the car and unplug the knock sensor connector.


4. Remove the knock sensor.


To fit



Important

Before refitting the knock sensor, thoroughly clean its mating surface with the engine block.


Tightening torque: 22 Nm (16 lbf ft)

In other respects, refit in reverse order.
