Background

Complaints concerning driveability or the CHECK ENGINE lamp going on may be caused by a bad ground contact between the engine wiring harness and the intake manifold.

Parts required

79 78 109 Screw (x2)

91 66 380 Washer (x2)

Procedure

Replace the screws for the engine wiring harness ground connection on the intake manifold with the screws+washers on the parts list.

Note

Screw 79 78 109 must be used to ensure good contact.


Fit the cable terminal on the engine wiring harness ground connection.

The extra washer is used to compensate for the length of thread on the new screw.
