No bass sound (loudspeakers in doors)

Diagnostic procedure


1. Check that the DIN cable is connected to the extra amplifier and the radio.

2. Check that the extra amplifier's connector is plugged in and that battery voltage (+30) is present on pin 2 of the connector.


3. Check the grounding point by taking a resistance reading across pin 1 of the 2- pin connector and a good grounding point. The resistance should be < 1 ohm.


4. Check that the loudspeaker connectors are plugged in.


5. Check the wiring between the loudspeakers and the amplifier. The resistance should be < 1 ohm.

6. Check the speaker coils by taking a resistance reading across the connecting pins of the speakers. For test readings, see .
