Extra fog lights

Extra fog lights

Cars for certain markets are fitted with extra fog lights. The fog lights are wired so that they can be used when the car's daylight driving lights, parking lights or headlamps are switched on.

With the lights switch in position 0 (daylight driving lights), position 1 (parking lights) or position 2 (main and dipped beams), power is supplied to pin 5 of the switch for the fog lights. Power is supplied via pin 54, pin 30 or pin X on the lights switch.

When the switch for the fog lights is pressed, the ICE module pin is supplied with power on pin 17. The ICE module then grounds the fog light relay via pin 55.

Power for the fog lights is supplied via the fuse for the front fog lights.

The ICE module can be programmed for three different fog-light switching modes. The three modes are as follows:

"ALT 1" The extra fog lights can be switched on whether the headlamps are dipped or not if the lights switch is in position 1 or 2.

"ALT 2" The extra fog lights cannot be switched on when the headlamps are on main beam.

- For daylight driving light versions 1 and 2, the lights switch must be in position 1 or 2.

- For daylight driving light version 3, the lights switch must be in position 2.

"ALT 3" The extra fog lights can be switched on when the lights switch is in position 2 and the headlamps are on main beam. Alternatively, the extra fog lights can be switched on when the lights switch is in position 1 and the headlamps are switched off.
