Checking the washer fluid and coolant levels

If they are in proper working
order the right message should appear on the SID unit display when the level sensor switch is
open.
WASHER LEVEL LOW
COOLANT LEVEL LOW
If the BLACK PANEL is activated the display should light up.

Connect a Scan Tool and select the "READ VALUES" menu and then "INPUT
SIGNALS".
|

|
Unplug the connector of the sensor that is suspected of being faulty. The
corresponding message should now be activated on both the SID and Scan Tool. If this
works, the sensor is faulty and must be replaced.
If no message is displayed, continue with point 4.
|
4.
|
Check the wiring for continuity/shorting by taking a reading
across:

Important
|
If a message is always displayed, check the sensor's grounding cable.
