Condition: gearbox removed from car

Remove the four screws of the seal holder. Lift out the screws and the seal holder and remove the O-ring.

Carefully tap out the bearing race with a hammer and a drift (destructive removal).

Fitting |

Fit (press) the new bearing race in place as far as it will go, using tools 87 91 246 and 87 91 204.

Refit the seal holder with its O-ring. Tighten the screws alternately.

Tightening torque 22 Nm (16 lbf ft).
