ABS warning lamp
ABS warning lamp |
If a fault occurs in the wheel sensor or ABS hydraulic unit, the electronic control module is grounded by pin 21, that activates the ABS lamp. The diagnosis of the incorporated components is continual and starts when the ignition is turned on. If all circuits are OK the ABS lamp goes off after 3-5 seconds. If a fault occurs when driving the lamp comes on and the ABS function is disengaged.

The lamp also comes on if the voltage supply (+15) to the electronic control module fails. The 26/31-pin contact has a microswitch that then switches off, effectively disconnecting the electronic control module from the connector, causing the ABS lamp to come on. |
