To remove



1. Remove the MacPherson strut.

2. Place two pieces of flat or square bar under the MacPherson strut.

3. Press the front-wheel hub off the wheel bearing Use special tool 89 96 704.

4. Remove the circlips from the MacPherson strut.

5. Remove the wheel bearing from the steering swivel member Use special tool 89 96 704.


To fit



1. Fit the outer circlip on the steering swivel member. The opening in the circlip should face downwards.

2. Press the wheel bearing in until it abuts against the circlip. Use special tool 89 96 704. Lubricate the bearing seat and the periphery of the bearing with grease such as Molykote G Rapid Plus.

3. Fit the inner circlip on the steering swivel member. The opening in the circlip should face downwards.

4. Fit the hub in the wheel bearing. Use special tool 89 96 704.

5. Fit the MacPherson strut.
