Read through the Safety and handling instructions.

Turn off the ignition and remove the negative cable on the battery.
|
|

Remove the connector on the back of the driver's airbag and passenger airbag.
|
|

Connect reference resistor 84 71 153 to the relevant connector.
|
|
| • |
When fault diagnosing the seat-belt tensioners, connect the reference resistor 84 71 153 to the respective connector on the seat-belt tensioners.
Also note the following: |

Splicing SRS cables is forbidden. Splicing can cause functional disorders that can make the system unusable and in extreme cases lead to personal injury.

If a connector is unplugged while the ignition is switched on it will be recorded as a fault by the control module. The fault will not disappear until the connector is plugged in again and the diagnostic trouble code has been cleared.
