Expansion valve, cars with a 4-cylinder engine + all RHD

1.
|
Drain the AC system of refrigerant.
|
|
3.
|
Remove the bolt securing the AC pipes' PAD connection to the expansion valve.
|
|
4.
|
Undo the two expansion valve retaining screws.
|
|
5.
|
Lift out the expansion valve. Plug the openings in the AC hoses.
|
|

|
Fit new O-rings on the AC pipes from the evaporator and lubricate them with synthetic vaseline.
|
|
2.
|
Refit the expansion valve on the AC pipes. Tighten the two expansion valve retaining bolts.
Tightening torque: 5 Nm (3.7 lbf ft)

3.
|
Fit new O-rings on the AC pipes from the compressor and lubricate them with synthetic vaseline.
|
|
4.
|
Refit the AC hoses on the expansion valve. Tighten the bolt securing the PAD connection to the expansion valve.
Tightening torque: 9 Nm (6.6 lbf ft)

|
5.
|
Fill up with compressor oil, carry out vacuum pumping of the AC system and fill up with refrigerant.
