Changing the boot lid wiring harness and the adapter harness

1.

Remove the trim on the boot lid.
|
|
2.
|
Unplug the connectors between the adapter harness and the lid harness.
|
|
3.
|
Mark all the connectors accurately
before disconnecting them from their components.
|
|
4.
|
Fit the new wiring harness, carefully checking the colour code on the connectors against the wiring diagram in Service Manual "3:2 Electrical system, Wiring diagrams".

Remove the clips in the luggage compartment securing the back of the left-hand side trim and fold down the trim.
|
|
2.
|
Remove the grommet for the adapter harness behind the hinge in the water channel.
|
|
3.
|
Remove the boot lid trim and unplug the connectors between the adapter harness and the lid harness.
|
|
4.
|
Unclip the cable grommet from the lid.
|
|
5.
|
Detach the cable channel from the hinge.
|
|
6.
|
Mark all the connectors accurately
before disconnecting them from their components.
|
|
7.
|
Fit the new wiring harness, carefully checking the colour code on the connectors against the car's wiring diagram.

Note
|
|
Secure the wiring harness correctly so that there is no risk of it rattling.
|
