It is our experience that the majority of electronic control modules returned to us for repair or replacement under warranty are in perfect working order. In these cases, fitting a new electronic control module has obviously not cured the fault. Therefore, go through all the following points carefully before changing the electronic control module:

       1.

Check all grounding points and the power supply to the electronic control module.

       2.

Using the diagnostic instrument, check that all readouts are plausible.

       3.

Using the diagnostic instrument, check that all activation commands produce the correct results.

If the fault persists, the electronic control module must be replaced.

When handling the electronic control module, it is important to ground yourself by touching the engine for example. Avoid touching the pins of the electronic control module.
