Injectors


To remove


1. Remove the resonator (air silencer).

2. Disconnect the crankcase breather hose and remove the IAC valve with hoses.

3. Remove the bracket for the dipstick as well as the throttle and Cruise Control cables.

4. Remove the four retaining screws, two at either end of the fuel injection manifold, and the two screws securing the cable conduit.


5. Carefully lift up the fuel injection manifold.

6. Remove the two protective rails and unplug the connectors from the injectors.

7. Remove the locking clips securing the injectors to the fuel injection manifold and withdraw the injectors.


To fit

Fit in reverse order.

Note

Lubricate the O-rings with petroleum jelly (Vaseline) to facilitate reassembly.


Important

Check that the connectors on the injectors are correctly fitted. Then carefully press the fuel injection manifold in place.
