Sensor, rough road
Sensor, rough road |
The sensor is located beside the main fuse box on the left in the engine bay. It is bolted directly to the car body.
Tightening torque: 2.5 Nm
The sensor is supplied with 5 V from control module pin 59 and grounded via pin 71.
The sensor applies a voltage, which varies with vertical changes in motion, to pin 80 of the control module. Normally 2.5 V, this voltage changes at the rate of 0.4 V/g (1 g = 9.81 m/s 2 )
The control module utilizes the voltage to block diagnosis of misfiring when driving on rough roads as erroneous detection of misfiring could otherwise occur.
This function is used solely for the OBD II system.
