Reducing idling vibrations by changing idling speed
|
Saab 900 from VIN V2048171 (3D/5D) and V7014757 (CV) respectively, with Trionic without OBD II, automatic transmission.
Vibrations at idling speed on some cars when the gear selector is in position D may be disturbing. In the event of customer complaint, the idling speed can be increased using Tech 2 with version number 20.000 or higher. The increase is made in steps of 10 rpm up to max. 50 rpm. The increased rpm can reduce vibrations but will only remain as long as the battery is connected. Once the battery has been disconnected, the rpm will return to normal speed.
Warning

An increased rpm entails lower vacuum, which means that the brake pedal must be pressed down harder.
