Conditions

B1217 : Interior lighting shorted to BATT+

Diagnostic procedure


1. Unplug the interior lighting switch connector. Check the switch by connecting a jumper lead between pins 5 and 3 of the connector and also between pins 4 and 1.

2. If the lamps work, change the switch and clear the diagnostic trouble code.


3. Connect a BOB and check the wiring between pin 23 of the ICE connector and pin 4 of the switch connector and also between pin 46 of the ICE connector and pin 5 of the switch connector.
