Trip computer


The trip computer has the following features:

(left-hand side)


TEMP (outside temperature).

D.T.E. (distance to empty tank).

FUEL ø (average fuel consumption).

ALARM (time alarm, only SID unit 3).

(right-hand side)

DIST (distance to destination, only SID unit 3).

ARRIV (arrival time, only SID unit 3).

SPD |fu (average speed, only SID unit 3).

SPD W (speed warning, only SID unit 3).

The trip computer is operated by means of the buttons situated below the display.

To perform the calculations necessary to present the above information, the SID is supplied with data on

speed

fuel level

mileage

accumulated fuel consumption

from the main instrument display panel.

This data is supplied to pins 16 and 17 of the SID unit.


Selecting the display mode


To select a function, press the INFO button (SID unit 2) or the - or + button (SID unit 3). The outside temperature will be displayed automatically each time the trip computer is turned on. Reset functions . To reset the trip computer, press the CLEAR button for more than four seconds. A short signal will then sound and the text "CLEARED" will appear on the display for two seconds. Functions that can then be reset are:


distance to empty tank

average fuel consumption

trip meter (not distance to destination, only SID unit 3)

average speed (only SID unit 3)

Arrival time (only SID unit 3)


Setting the computer

Select a function and then press the SET button for more than two seconds. Increase or decrease the selected function with the - and + buttons.

To zero the setting, press "CLEAR".

End the setting procedure by pressing the SET button briefly.
