ABS warning lamp
The ABS control module monitors the operation of the anti-lock braking system and causes the ABS warning lamp to light up if a fault is detected. The ABS warning lamp is situated in the right-hand part of the main instrument display panel. When the ABS lamp lights up the anti-lock braking system is disabled and the brakes work just like a conventional braking system. The lamp is supplied with current in the main instrument display panel and connected to ground by the ABS control module via pin 11 (12p-2) of the main instrument display panel. When the ignition is switched on the lamp is tested for about 3 seconds. If no fault is detected the lamp will go out.SPORT mode indicator lamp
On cars equipped with a TCM (Transmission Control Module), i.e. electronically controlled automatic transmission, the indicator lamp lights up when the SPORT button on the selector lever is pressed. In SPORT mode, the transmission remains longer in each gear. The transmission stays in SPORT mode until the SPORT button is pressed once again, the ignition is switched off or WINTER mode is engaged.
The lamp is supplied with current in the main instrument display panel and connected to ground by the TCM control module via pin 5 (12p-1) of the main nstrument display panel.
When the ignition is switched on the lamp is tested for about 3 seconds. If no fault is detected the lamp will go out.
WINTER mode indicator lamp
To facilitate starting on slippery road surfaces, the TCM transmission has a WINTER mode, i.e. the car starts in 3rd gear when the WINTER button (snowflake) on the selector lever is pressed. The WINTER mode will be disengaged by pressing the WINTER button once again, switching off the ignition, when in limp-home mode or if speed exceeds about 80 km/h.
The lamp is supplied with current in the main instrument display panel and connected to ground by the TCM control module via pin 6 (12p-1) of the main instrument display panel.
When the ignition is switched on the lamp is tested for about 3 seconds. If no fault is detected the lamp will go out.
CHECK GEARBOX warning lamp
If a fault develops in the automatic transmission, the CHECK GEARBOX warming lamp in the main instrument display panel will light up.The lamp is supplied with current in the main instrument display panel and connected to ground by the TCM control module via pin 10 (12p-1) of the main instrument display panel.
When the ignition is switched on the lamp is tested for about 3 seconds. If no fault is detected the lamp will go out.
Low fuel indicator lamp
