Bleeding the hydraulic clutch system in the car

1.

Unscrew the cap on the brake fluid reservoir.
|
2.
|
Top up with brake fluid if necessary.
|
3.
|
Open the bleeder nipple.
|
4.
|
Connect bleeder tool 88 19 096 to the bleed nipple.
|
5.
|
Apply compressed air to the bleeder tool and bleed the clutch until fluid appears at the nipple.
|
6.
|
Tighten the bleeder nipple remove the bleeder tool. Check the function of the clutch and top up with brake fluid to the correct level.

If the slave cylinder has been changed or drained:
If the gearbox has been removed, see
instead.

Carry out points 1 to 5 as described above.
|
2.
|
Tighten the bleeder nipple.
|
3.
|
Depress and hold down the clutch pedal.
|
4.
|
Open the bleeder nipple.
|
5.
|
Tighten the bleeder nipple.
|
6.
|
Let up the clutch pedal.
|
7.
|
Repeat points 3 to 6 several times (6-7).
|
8.
|
Check the function of the clutch and top up with brake fluid to the correct level.
