Inspection of the functioning of the gear lever's reverse gear catch.
Inspection of the functioning of the gear lever's reverse gear catch.
1.
Disconnect the gear lever gaiter.
2.
Check that the stop for 5th gear on the reverse gear catch is functioning by pushing the lever against the stop using reasonable force. The actuator must not then lift up so that the lever can pass 5th gear side position and go into the reverse gear position.
3.
Move the gear lever to the right against the stop of the rear gear catch and check the actuator's vertical position. The upper edge of the actuator's stop heel should be 0-0.5 mm above the stop of the rear gear catch. If there is a need to adjust the stop heel, the actuator must be adjusted as described in Section "Gear Lever Knob".
