Remove the pressure pipe between the charge air cooler and throttle body and seal the hose to prevent dirt from entering it.

Lift up the power steering fluid reservoir and turn it to one side.

Unplug the three sensor connectors.
|
4. |
Press the connectors out of the holder.
|
5. |
Undo the three bolts and lift out the holder.
|
6. |
Look for the sensors' wiring harness and pull it towards the radiator.
|
7. |
Snip the cable ties holding the wiring harness together.
|
8. |
Jack up the car.
|
9. |
Place an oil pan under the gearbox. Unscrew the sensor and remove it.
|
10. |
Take the connector off the cable and withdraw the cable between the gearbox bracket and gearbox.

To refit |
1. |
Clean the seating for the sensor and fit it with the sealing ring correctly located.
|
2. |
Take the connector off the cable and fit the cable correctly between the gearbox bracket and gearbox. Fit the connector to the cable again.

3. |
Lower the car.
|
4. |
Secure the sensor's lead to the wiring harness using new cable ties.
|
5. |
Fit the wiring harness in place, press the connectors into the holder and tighten the holder's three retaining screws.

6. |
Plug in the three sensor connectors.
|
7. |
Refit the power steering fluid reservoir.
|
8. |
Refit the pressure pipe.
|
9. |
Fill up with gearbox oil to the correct level.
