Control module
Control module |
The Sensonic control module has a 55-pin connector and is mounted in a holder on the bulkhead behind the glove box.
The control module controls the clutch by means of the system's own sensors and signals from the Trionic system.
On replacement of the control module, the gear selector position sensor's voltage values must be memorized by means of the Scan tool diagnostics instrument.
Diagnostic trouble codes, as well as memorized and adapted voltage levels, will not be lost even if the power supply for the control module is interrupted.
Turning the ignition switch to the ON position activates the control module and, under certain circumstances, disengages the clutch. Not until the clutch has been disengaged can current (+50 circuit) pass via the control module to the starter relay.
The "CHECK ACS" warning lamp lights up for about three seconds when the ignition switch is turned to the ON position. This is to confirm that the control module has been activated.
