Wheel speed
Wheel speed |
The ABS control module sends a speed signal to pin 31 of the control module. The signal is a square wave which varies between 0 and B+ 29 times per wheel revolution.
The Sensonic system uses the speed signal to calculate the gear position or input shaft rpm if either of these sensors is unserviceable.
If no signal is present, the "CHECK ACS" warning lamp will light up. The fault will not give rise to any noticeable change in system functions.
A diagnostic trouble code in respect of the speed signal may be generated if a gear is engaged with the engine running when the front end of the car is jacked up, during brake testing on a roller device, or if prolonged wheelspin is provoked when driving the car.
